VerdeRocks Jewelry has been designing eco-friendly and sustainable jewelry since 2004, before the term "Green" even existed. "We wanted to create accessories that was a representation of how we wanted to live our lives, causing as little impact as possible. Each time we approach designing a new piece, we attempt to utilize as many vintage, old stock, recycled and organic elements as possible. The remaining percentage is made from reliably-sourced Fair Trade materials. We then use the most environmentally responsible methods to manufacture our line for a truly sustainable product that we can all feel good about. Call it "Sustainable" - call it "Green" - we just call it good, sound business practices."
VerdeRocks is a testament to the idea that it is possible to create a consumer product that has little negative impact on the environment and a real positive effect on people. VerdeRocks draws it's workforce from its local community, helping to create opportunities for those who otherwise would have been over-looked. VerdeRocks' goal is to keep their sources local, provide opportunities for the disenfranchised, and avoid mass production and overseas labor.
